Elden Ring Fan’s One Punch Man Defeats Every Boss In One Hit

Taking inspiration from One Punch Man, an ambitious Elden Ring player was bold enough to attempt defeating every boss in the game with just one hit. Elden Ring‘s boss roster is massive when compared to previous FromSoftware entries, though only twelve of these intense battles are actually required to beat the game.

Now that FromSoftware’s long-anticipated open-world title has been in players’ possessions for over three months, some members of the community have started implementing self-imposed gameplay challenges as they try to engage with the game in various unique ways. This line of thinking has already spawned Elden Ring legends such as Let Me Solo Her, who made a name for themself by defeating what many consider to be the game’s hardest boss, Malenia, exactly 1,000 times alone. Other examples include using the game’s mechanics in a less aggressive approach and performing an Elden Ring pacifist run.

A recent addition to the ever growing list of self-imposed challenges was reported by VG247 and follows the exploits of YouTuber BushyGames as they attempted to take down all of the big baddies across the Lands Between with just one hit each. Taking visual inspiration from Saitama of One Punch Man, the YouTuber only had two rules in place for this run: there could only be one attack per enemy or boss phase, and there would be no use of the infamously powerful spell Comet Azur. After a long search for numerous upgrades, buffs, and weapons, the end result proves that such a run is in fact possible, producing some immensely satisfying, albeit quick, battles.

Compared to previous FromSoftware titles, Elden Ring‘s focus on exploration allows for its players to become powerful just by adventuring around the map. This gives experienced players an edge on new playthroughs, as they can more easily find what they need to achieve a certain build right from the beginning. Unfortunately there is still some element of grinding required for these players to meet the stat requirements of their endgame gear.

The design philosophy of an open world by its nature makes it difficult to balance enemies, since players of varying skill and level will reach the same foe at drastically different times. This has led to a divide amongst Elden Ring players, with some believing that this boss roster is significantly more difficult than previous FromSoftware titles while others consider it much easier. BushyGames proves, however, that if you have a plan and put in the time to execute it, the enemies across the Lands Between can fall quite easily.

Elden Ring is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
