Celebrating father’s day? Or you just want to give a thumbs up for the best dad any other day of the year (you can do that with a fancy trophy card, too).
Well, we’ve designed a brand new map that’s pretty cute from the start!
How to make a thumbs up card for father’s day
What do you need
- our printable card template (with optional manual outline)
- thicker blank (or cream) printing paper
- colored paper (plain printer paper is fine, construction paper works too)
step by step walkthrough
Print the card template on thicker white printing paper. We have both the pre-colored version and the black and white version that children can color in their favorite colors.
You will also need an outline of the hand. You can have the children trace their own hands (fingers outstretched) on the paper or use the hand outline template we’ve included.
The template is at the end of this tutorial.
Cut out the card template and the outline of the hand.
Place it on the map, placing it roughly in the center. You’ll get an idea of how much “excess” hand you need to cut.
Cut off the “extra” paper.
Fold the card in half along the dotted line.
Apply the glue to the palm of the hand and the thumb area.
Paste the outline of the hand on the base of the card.
Add a bit of glue to the tip of your index finger, bend your finger and stick it to your palm.
Repeat with all other fingers.
You have a boost!
Now all you have to do is write an even more awesome message inside your Father’s Day thumbs up card and, well, give it to the best dad in the world.
