two. Fill the sink with hot water until it covers the racks and add dish soap to the water. Let the cast iron grates soak in the soapy solution for about 10 to 15 minutes. This will allow the soap to go to work lifting and cutting through any grease or food stuck to the grates.

3. Next, use a non-metallic soft bristle brush, pad or sponge to scrub any food or grease residue from the grates. Make sure you get into all the cracks and tight spots to get rid of the dirt.
Four. Once the grids are free of dirt, rinse with warm water until soap streaks are gone. Dry them well with a clean cloth before placing them back on the stove.

one. First, mix three parts of baking soda with one part of water to create a thick paste.
two. Take a soft bristle brush or cloth to coat the cast iron grates with the paste, making sure to get into all the cracks and hard to reach places.
3. Let sit for about 15-20 minutes to allow the baking soda to work to remove any greasy residue.
Four. Then use a soft scrub brush or toothbrush to remove any stuck-on residue before rinsing thoroughly with warm water. Finally, clean the grills with a clean soft cloth.

How to clean the grates of a cast iron skillet with white vinegar
