Do you remember catching a snowflake in your hand and seeing its shape before it melted? It is totally amazing when you see the perfection of this tiny ice crystal. If you’ve never done it before, we recommend you grab a magnifying glass and go snowflake hunting as soon as you get the chance. You will be hypnotized.

This pack includes 20 different snowflake designs with a short tutorial at the bottom of each page, which also shows how the final paper snowflake should look like.
We like to make simple designs so we make sure there are enough simple designs to make. Just pick the ones you like (or all of them, of course), print them out, and cut out the marked area. Since we know you love intricate patterns too, some advanced printable patterns are included as well!
If you want, you can use colored paper or just use plain paper and color the entire square with your favorite markers before cutting it out.

How to make paper snowflakes
What do you need:
- our printable paper snowflake templates (you can get them at the end of this tutorial)
- plain paper (the lighter the better, as thicker paper is difficult to cut)
We also used a craft stick to make the folds neater.
You can also embellish your paper snowflakes with glitter glue to make them even more fancy.

Follow the instructions step by step
Choose your favorite snowflake designs and print them (grab the template at the end of the tutorial). A simplified version of the instructions is included on each page, making this a great class project.
We use regular printing paper, but recommend using the lightest paper you have for easier cutting.
Use your scissors to cut out the square.
First, we need to fold the square in half to get a triangle.
Fold this triangle in half as shown in the image below.
You will need to fold the left and right part of the triangle to the back.
Your future snowflake should look like this.
Cut off the parts you don’t need.
You can start by cutting off the top of the folded snowflake.
Cut along the lines to remove the “gray” area – the area is marked in the little tutorial at the bottom of each page.
Unfold the finished snowflake gently and slowly.
Your snowflake is complete and ready to display.
